APRIL 2014 HIGHLIGHTS

Rogate: Easter Spirituality of Justice. April 2014 is the month where we observe the Holy Week, Easter most especially. No matter to what tradition Easter is linked to, say Easter egg hunt celebrations, it always pays to go back to the Biblical core, especially the forgotten part of that core: Jesus who died for the Kingdom and its justice, is the same risen Jesus who gives us hope for eternal life in the new creation where justice dwells, where death is no more, where mourning ceases, where without end humanity and creation are embraced by God (see 2 Pt 3: 13, Rev 21:1-5). This hope inspires SHEC always to work for the Kingdom’s justice until Jesus comes to establish the definitive Kingdom.

BSAAC Meeting For Beneficiaries. To discuss matters about beneficiaries such as the resolution on beneficiaries who will not avail of the housing project, as well as to tackle additional provisions regarding the selection of additional beneficiaries, the Beneficiary Selection, Award and Arbitration Committee or BSAAC members composed of Atty. Paul Vega, Ms. Lilet Ressurecion, Ms. Amy san Jose, Ms. Joy Mosot, Mr. Johannes Baytan, Ms Juana Sarmiento and Fr. Arlene Gumangan, RCJ met at the St. Hannibal Training Center, Pasay City last April 7, 2014.

Soil Boring Test at Phase 17. To determine the capacity of Phase 17 land area for a medium rise building, a soil boring test was conducted by the Guevara Engineering Company last April 7 and 8, 2014. The activity was initiated under the housing program handled by Fr. Orville Cajigal, RCJ.

Happy Easter! Kingdom work draws heavy inspirations from Jesus’ resurrection. For Kingdom work entails a lot of crucifixions, but it also promises the eternal bliss of Jesus’ resurrection. To celebrate this joyous event in the life of faith, an Easter egg hunt was conducted at the evacuation center at Baseco, Manila last April 20, 2014. Thanks to the efforts of Fr. Arlene Gumangan, RCJ, Ms. Ruth Valmoria, Rogate Youth, Rogate Kids, Parents and Pabanal Members, the event was successful and meaningful.

SHFC Consultation. To know the status of the community association served by SHEC, especially with regard to their application at the Social Housing Finance Corporation or SFHC, five leaders led by Fr. Orville Cajigal, RCJ went for a consultation meeting at the SHFC building, Paseo de Roxas, Makati City last April 24, 2014.
